It’s party time for Anne Webster from Shipley on Tuesday 28 April – she’s celebrating her 102nd birthday with a special party at the Buckingham Bingo club in Bradford.
Anne, has been a member of her local Buckingham Bingo club since it opened in 2002. To help celebrate her birthday, the club will be treating Anne to a chauffer driven limousine to and from the club, as well as a helping of free bingo, flowers and a cake in the shape of a bingo ticket.
Anne went on to say “I’ve always enjoyed playing bingo and have made many friends over the years,” and then “When Buckingham Bingo offered to throw me a birthday party I was delighted that I would be able to celebrate and play my favourite game at the same time.”
Anne attends Buckingham Bingo five afternoons a week and is an extremely popular figure with staff and members alike. Anne once treated herself to a holiday in Scotland on her bingo winnings.
Robert Cahill, manager of Buckingham Bingo in Bradford, says: “Anne is a great character and a true patron of the club so we wanted to do something special to mark her big day."
